Sensors And Modules

Wattmon interfaces with sensors and modules over Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP. The devices below can be procured though us and are compatible with our hardware
Pyranometers
Sivara PYRA-300V Pyranometer
This pyranometer is an entry level version with limited accuracy.

The sensor’s transducer, which converts incident radiation to electrical current, is a silicon photodiode with wide spectral response. From the sensor’s output voltage, the console calculates and displays solar irradiance. It also integrates the irradiance values and displays total incident energy over a set period of time.

Specifications
Housing Material : UV-resistant PVC plastic
Weight : 250 g
Range : 0 to 1800 W/m2
Accuracy : ±5% of full scale
Drift : + 0.12% per °C
up to ±2% per year
Compatibility
The RS-485 version is compatible with all the Wattmon devices. The Analog version can be directy connected to the Wattmon MEGA, Wattmon ULTRA, or to any of the analog interface modules.
NES Silicon Solar Sensor SOZ 03
The SOZ-03 pyranometer consists of a mono-crystalline silicon cell (50 x 50 mm 2) with special solar glass. The pyranometer is laminated, hence high UV-resistance and long-term stability.

Specifications
Housing Material : UV-resistant PVC plastic
Range : 0 to 1500 W/m2
Output : 4 to 20mA
Power Supply : 7 to 30V DC
Accuracy : ±3% of full scale
Drift : ±0.3% per year
Compatibility
This can be directy connected to the Wattmon ULTRA, or to any of the analog interface modules that have a 0-20mA input channel available such as the AIMS-4U or 8U.
Kipp & Zonen RT1 Smart Rooftop Monitoring System
RT1 is a small, fully weatherproof duo-sensor that independently measures the incoming solar irradiance and the back panel temperature. Thanks to this included back panel temperature sensor you collect all the data you need to monitor the performance of your installation - all in digital Modbus format. Thanks to the unique design you can easily fix it to your PV panel without the need for any tools.

Specifications
Range : 0 to 2000 W/m2
Output : RS-485 Modbus RTU
Output 2: PV Panel Temperature Sensor
Power Supply : 5 to 30V DC
Accuracy : > 1%
Compatibility
This can be directy connected to all the Wattmon models.
